body-positive parenting group

body-positive parenting group

This is a coaching group for adults (18+) who want additional support around their own body image in order to implement body-positive parenting. It draws on a research-based curriculum to help you improve your negative relationship with your body, so that you can best help your children grow up free from similar concerns. We teach this program from a HAES® perspective to create an inclusive space that supports people of all sizes who want to find compassionate ways to nourish and accept themselves as they are. Along with a group of like-minded parents, you’ll examine your own relationship to your body, the ideals you’ve internalized about what bodies should look like, and your beliefs about what “healthy” means. You’ll learn to challenge your negative thoughts about your body with support from the group, and put changes into practice through simple assignments outside of sessions.

This group will meet in 6 sessions, beginning on Monday, October 21st.
